The 10 Minute Mouth Lift With Dermal Filler and Botox

Getting results quickly is very important and exciting.  I discovered this one day when I noticed in an online video of myself that the corners of my mouth were drooping and that I was starting to look angry.  This is a common problem in my family and I realized then that I had to have it treated - it was really bugging me!

So I had a small amount of dermal filler injected into the corners of my mouth and within minutes it looked way better!  I’ve done this treatment a thousand times on patients,  but it wasn’t until I actually had the treatment myself that I realized just how thrilling and exciting it can be to have an instant improvement in your appearance!

  • Treatment Used: Injection of 1 syringe of dermal filler Teosyal Redensity 2 in her tear troughs and 1 syringe of Teosyal RHA 4 injected in her cheeks.  2 syringes total

  • Safety and Downtime: Very safe if done by expert with cannula. Possible bruising. This is a difficult treatment to perform and should only be done by expert injectors

The Story

This patient had suffered with deep circles under her eyes for years and they were reduced in less than 45 minutes.

Under eye circles are a complex problem caused by a mixture of skin colour changes, loss of volume in the cheeks, and loss of volume in the under eye area, fat pad herniation as well as thinning of the skin

Many people can see rapid improvement with the skillful injection of dermal filler in the cheeks and/or the tear trough area under the eyes.  This will work extremely well in most patients if the correct filler and technique are used

  • Purpose: Reduce the lines coming down from the corners of the mouth. Also to raise the corners of the mouth to reduce angry look

  • Time Frame: Procedure takes 30 -45 minutes, the results are instant. Can last 1-2 years

  • Treatment(s) Used: Injection of Dermal Filler Teosyal RHA3.  3 Syringes total. This treatment is often combined with botox to reduce the activity of muscles pulling the mouth down

  • Safety and Downtime: A very safe procedure if done by an expert with cannula. Possible bruising as the marionette line area is vascular.

The Story

This lady did not like the deep grooves coming down from the corners of her mouth and her downturned mouth.  Filler was injected beneath the skin groove on 2 levels, deep and shallow.  It was also injected into the outer part of the lower lip.  

The result is a much happier expression without looking plastic or fake.  There was no bruising in this case, though this is an area that is more prone to bruising.

Pigmentation and Redness Improved With Broad Band Light (BBL)

  • Purpose: Reduce and eliminate blotchy pigmentation, redness and visible blood vessels

  • Time Frame: Procedure takes 45 minutes, the results are seen in 7-10 days. Usually requires 3 treatments over 3 months to see optimal results.

  • Safety and Downtime: A very safe procedure with minimal downtime. Redness lasts a few hours. Pigmentation flakes off over 1 week.

The Story

This lady did not like the pigmentation and red marks on her face. BBL treatment which takes about 45 minutes was performed with improvement seen in 7-10 days.

The treatment is repeated every month and usually 3 treatments are required to see optimal results.

Combining this treatment with a skin care regime containing Vitamin C and Retinol will enhance and speed up the results. Good sun protection with SPF and protective clothing makes results last longer.

The Story

This lady had a large mole on her right cheek with hair growing out of it.  To remove the hair and the mole it was necessary to excise the mole surgically.  Moles can also be removed with lasers, cryotherapy and electrocautery.

This mole had been there for years but was slowly growing and she wanted it gone.  Within one week the scar was slight and within 6 months virtually invisible.

The Story

This lady has had regular BBL treatments for the last 7 years and looks 5 years younger than she did 7 years ago!

BBL is able to do this for and works 2 ways:   First, it corrects red and brown skin pigmentation changes in the vast majority of patients.  It is safe with little or no downtime.  

Second, once this pigmentation has been corrected, regular treatments every 3 months maintains the color correction and causes cellular changes in the DNA of the cells,  turning damaged genes back on that have been shut off during the aging process.

Varicose Veins Legs

The Story

This lady had a varicose vein on the inside aspect of her thigh for several years. She did not like the appearance of the vein but had no pain.

Local anesthetic was used to make a small nick in the skin. After this a catheter was introduced into her vein. The vein was frozen with local anesthetic and a laser was introduced into the vein. The laser was gradually withdrawn from the vein.

The same day, the lower part of the vein was injected with a special foam solution. The combination of these 2 treatments quickly made the vein invisible.

Spider Veins Legs

This lady has had spider veins for several years. They have been painless but she is embarrassed to wear shorts in public.

Botulinum toxin is most often used in the forehead though it has many uses in the lower face, neck. It is an extremely safe and versatile medication.
